Author Biography:

Mike Peacock is happy to be out in the mountains at any time and enjoys climbing, exploring and scrambling, but his real obsession is gorge scrambling.

Further Information:

North Wales is blessed with a wealth of excellent scrambling, much of which has been well documented. This book features an array of previously undescribed routes, many of which are based around watercourses, including mountain streams and lowland gorges. Other new scrambles that scale both hillside crags and mountain ridges are included for variety.

The scrambles are divided by geographical area, and include Snowdon, the Glyderau, the Carneddau, Nant Gwynant, Eifionydd and the Moelwynion, plus a handful of routes in outlying areas such as Cader Idris, the Rhinogydd, the Migneint, Clocaenog Forest and Coed y Brenin. Detailed information is given to locate and ascend each route, and link-ups and continuations are suggested to extend the day. This guide caters for seasoned scramblers and newcomers alike, and aims to take both on new adventures in the Welsh hills.
