Gwybodaeth Bellach:
'Pam, Arglwydd, y gwnaethost Gwm Pennant mor dlws? A bywyd hen fugail mor fyr?' These words written by the poet Eifion Wyn in his poem Cwm Pennant is a well-used quotation in the Welsh language. Roughly translated it says: 'O Lord, why did you make Cwm Pennant so beautiful and the life of a shepherd so short?' Cwm Pennant is where revered Tibetan Buddhist teacher Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche said was a special, sacred place to visit whilst local legends say the people in the valley are intermarried with the 'tylwyth teg' - fairies.

Cwm Pennant was once a hive of industry and noise in the heyday of the slate quarries and copper mine on the hills above Afon Dwyfor, but it is by now one of the most beautiful valleys in Snowdonia. The Dwyfor estuary, once used by ships as safe anchorage in times of storm, is now a tranquil place with tremendous views across it to the Rhinogydd.
