The following has been provided by the Publisher: Author Biography: Waldo Williams was born in 1904 in Haverfordwest, Pembrokshire, a schoolmaster's son. The language of his home was English until the family moved to Mynachlog-ddu in the north of the country, where the seven-year-old boy soon learnt to speak Welsh. In his boyhood he had mystical experiences and a strong sensation of harmony with all created things and of world-wide brotherhood among people of all nations. Waldo had a gentle, other-worldly personality and he is now considered to be one of the most wonderfully gifted Welsh poets of the twentieth century.
