Author Biography:

Adam Price is a respected Welsh politician and was elected as leader of Plaid Cymru in September 2018. A miner's son born in Carmarthen in 1968, he joined the party as a teenager during the 1984 Miners’ Strike. He became MP for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr at the 2001 General Election, and was elected to the National Assembly for Wales as AM for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr in 2016.

He received the Spectator Parliamentary Inquisitor of the Year award for his role in exposing the Mittal Affair within his first year at Westminster, and is also well known for leading the campaign to impeach Tony Blair for his role in the Iraq war in 2004, eventually leading to the Chilcot Inquiry. His television documentary on the Miners’ Strike won two BAFTA Cymru awards.
