Author Biography:

Poet and Scholar, Gwyn Thomas, originally comes from Blaenau Ffestiniog, but now lives in Bangor where he was Professor of welsh at the University. He was Wales’ National Poet for 2006/07.

Margaret Jones is an experienced artist and lives in Capel Bangor near Aberystwyth.

Both have cooperated on many books for children, and have won the Tir na n-Og prize on many occasions.

The Mabinogion’s tales were first recorded in written form around seven hundred years ago. They are partly based on early medieval historical events, but may hark back to older iron age traditions.
